NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) – Two people are facing drug-related charges after police searched a home in Newport News Wednesday.

According to Newport News Police, when officers arrived to execute a search warrant at the home in the 300 block of Agusta Drive, 38-year-old April Fowler was in the process of removing property. One of the bags in her possession contained suspected crack cocaine, police say.

Officers also removed multiple crack pipes, pills, marijuana, THC wax and two rifle cartridges during the search.

After the search, officers arrested Fowler and charged her with four counts possession of schedule I or II drugs, possession of marijuana, three counts of possession of schedule IV drugs and possession of a firearm by a felon.

36-year-old Shane Finch, who lives at the home, was also placed under arrest and is facing a charge of possession of schedule I or II drugs. Officers reportedly found several crack pipes with suspected crack cocaine in his room.
