EDENTON, N.C. (WAVY) – The suspect wanted in connection with a shooting in Edenton on Sunday has turned himself in, according to police.
According to officials, on Feb. 25 at approximately 12:19 a.m., officers responded to the Tyler Run Apartments in the 200 block of Tyler Lane for reports of shots fired.
While officers were at the scene of the incident, an individual arrived at the ECU Health Hospital with a non life-threatening gunshot wound.
After an initial investigation, Edenton police declared 44-year-old Jvaughn Alfred Griffin as the suspect wanted in connection with the incident.
Griffin had active warrants for assault with a deadly weapon, intent to kill, possession of a firearm by a felon and discharging a firearm in town limits, according to police.
Griffin is currently being held without bond after turning himself into the Perquimans County Sheriff’s Office at 7 p.m. on Feb. 25.
