HPD looking for suspects in connection with shooting near Aberdeen Rd 7-Eleven

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) – The Hampton Police Division is asking for the public’s help in locating the suspect(s) in connection with a shooting in the parking lot of a Hampton 7-Eleven on Saturday.

According to police, officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Aberdeen Road around 12:54 a.m. for reports of shots fired.


Officers arrived to the scene and found a crime scene in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven on Aberdeen Road. While officers were investigating the crime scene, a walk-in gunshot victim was reported at Riverside Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

An investigation revealed the male victim was walking out of the 7-Eleven and fled to his vehicle after hearing multiple gunshots in the area. The victim was then driven to the hospital when he noticed he had been struck.

The incident remains under investigation.
