NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Two people were arrested on Thursday in connection with a fatal shooting on Olney Road in February.
According to officials, 19-year-old Trent A. Turner and a 17-year-old male were arrested and charged on March 14 with second-degree murder, use of a firearm and conspiracy.
Officers responded on Feb. 12 around 11 p.m. to reports of a shooting in the 500 block of East Olney Road. Officers arrived to the scene to find 42-year-old Edward Collins suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.
Collins was transferred to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Turner is currently being held without bond in the Norfolk City Jail. The juvenile charged is being held at the Norfolk Detention Center.
