KILL DEVIL HILLS, N.C. (WAVY) – The Kill Devil Hills Police Department (KDHPD) responded to a burglar alarm at Lost Treasure Golf early Saturday morning.
According to officials, officers were dispatched to Lost Treasure Golf at 1600 North Croatan Highway around 4:15 a.m. for a possible burglary.
Officers arrived to the scene and found “obvious” signs of breaking and entering, according to police.
After an investigation from the Criminal Investigations Division, detectives were able to acquire arrest warrants for felony breaking and entering and injury to personal property against 29-year-old Darrell Benjamin “Ben” Brafford.
Brafford was arrested by noon on July 20 and is currently being held at the Dare County Detention Center under a $30,000 secured bond.
