YORK, Va. (WAVY) – A man was arrested Tuesday night after a traffic stop on George Washington Memorial Highway.

According to officials, Deputy Sheriff Joshua Epperson initiated a traffic stop in the 4500 block of George Washington Memorial Highway around 8 p.m.

During the stop, Deputy Epperson noted that the driver of the vehicle, 37-year-old Nicolas Henry Diesel-Reynolds, did not have a valid Virginia license. Diesel-Reynolds previously had his license revoked for driving under the influence convictions, the sheriff’s office said.

Diesel-Reynolds was arrested after illegal narcotics were found inside the vehicle. He was charged with the following:

  • Possession with intent to distribute heroin
  • Two counts of illegal possession of a controlled substance
  • 4th offense of driving under the influence of drugs
  • Driving on a revoked operator’s license
  • Concealed weapon
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

Diesel-Reynolds is currently being held at the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail.
