NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A man is dead after being stabbed on Lance Road in Norfolk Friday morning, and another man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection to the incident, police said.

Norfolk Police said that officers were sent to 1135 Lance Road at Metal Supermarkets around 10:15 a.m. for a report of a stabbing victim.

When they arrived, they found a man suffering from a life-threatening stab wound. The man, Spencer T. Levinger, 28, was taken to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries, police said.

Sean B. Stewart has been charged with second-degree murder in the stabbing death of another man in Norfolk Friday morning, police said.

A preliminary investigation indicated that Levinger was stabbed during a physical altercation with another man at the location, police said, resulting in a charge of second-degree murder to Sean B. Stewart, 46.

Stewart is being held in the Norfolk City Jail without bond.

According to the company website, the business provides aluminum, steel, and other metals used for traditional construction and shipbuilding. 10 On Your Side called the business office and an automated message stated the business was closed today because of an unexpected incident.
