NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – The Norfolk Police Department says a woman was stabbed Monday morning.
According to officials, the incident occurred in the 6200 block of Wellington Street, near Norview Avenue and I-64, around 8:30 a.m.
Officers arrived and found a woman suffering from a non life-threatening injury. She was transferred to a local hospital to be treated for her injuries.
Police said the incident stemmed from a physical altercation between the two women.
An investigation of the incident led to the arrest of 49-year-old Anita King-Bowen around 9 a.m. in the 900 block of Johnstons Road. She was charged with entering a dwelling with intent to commit larceny and aggravated malicious wounding.
King-Bowen is currently being held in the Norfolk City Jail under no bond.
