FARMVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — A Farmville man who was one of four suspects sentenced in the 2012 murder of three men at Hustle Mart in Farmville has been arrested and is facing a murder-related charge of another man.

The Pitt County Sheriff’s Office reports Raekwon Terrell Blount, 26, was arrested Thursday by detectives. He was charged with accessory after the fact to murder in the death of Zytorious Jahod Ruffin, 23, of Farmville. Blount was booked into the Pitt County Detention Center and was being held without bond.

Officials said they took a missing person report on Wednesday, just after 6 p.m., for Ruffin. They began an investigation that led to the discovery of Ruffin’s body. Evidence gathered during the investigation led detectives to determine that Ruffin was the victim of a homicide.

Additional charges and arrests are pending, officials said.

WNCT has learned Blount is the same person involved in the deaths of three employees at Hustle Mart in 2012. He was the youngest of four suspects to be convicted in the deaths of three employees, Mokbel “Sam” Mohamed Almujanahi, 16, Gaber Alawi, 24, and Nabil Nasser Saeed Al’mogannahi, 26. All three were shot and killed at the scene. Blount was 14 at the time of the crime.

He was released from prison on parole on Sept. 28, 2023, after being convicted of second-degree murder on Nov. 2, 2016.
