CHECK, Va. (WFXR) — Organizers of FloydFest are sounding the alarm after they noticed fake ticket sellers.
Over the past week, FloydFest says they have noticed a fair amount of fraudulent ticket-sellers and accounts. As a result, organizers have blocked a half-dozen accounts.
FloydFest says to stay vigilant and be wary of an account, person, or ticket seller that seems suspicious. To help event-goers avoid scams they are advising to:
- Stick to our established social media accounts. We have not created any new ones this year, nor do we plan to.
- Be wary of any group that is new, has low membership numbers, and/or is using an outdated FloydFest lineup marquee as its cover graphic.
- Be wary of any group that doesn’t have Sam Calhoun incessantly posting in it.
- ALWAYS reach out to info@atwproductions.com to verify tickets before you buy them.
- If you come across a suspicious profile or page, please report it to us at info@atwproductions.com.
- Be wary of anyone offering tickets below face value.
- Be wary of anyone asking for you to send them a message.
Organizers said their most trusted secondary-market ticket exchange is CashorTrade.
FloydFest is a five-day celebration nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Southwest Virginia. This year marks the first time ever the festival will take place at FloydPark.
So far, the music festival has over 30 artists and bands on the line-up. This includes Black Pumas, Sierra Ferrell, The Record Company, Circles Around The Sun, The Heavy Heavy, Maggies Rose, Sones of the East, and more.
