Forecast: Rain, storms could impact NASCAR All-Star Race Week in North Wilkesboro

(WGHP) – The Triad has been in a rainy weather pattern for most of May, but we’re hoping the weather cooperates for All-Star Race week in North Wilkesboro.

Here’s a look at the weather day-by-day in the ‘Boros.

Wednesday: Window World 125 & The Reverend 100 Race

Wednesday kicks off a busy week at North Wilkesboro Speedway with both the Late Model Stock Car Race and the Pro Late Model Race scheduled for Wednesday evening.

Through the morning, rain chances continue to increase with temperatures reaching the mid 60s by noon. The chance for showers is 35%.

On Thursday at North Wilkesboro, Fan Fest in the Boros is scheduled from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with the NASCAR All-Star Hauler Parade around 6 p.m.

Of all the days this week, Thursday has the lowest rain chances in North Wilkesboro. While that’s good news, a stray shower or storm can’t be ruled out.

Skies are expected to be mostly sunny Thursday afternoon with temperatures reaching the upper 70s.
