VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Funeral services have been scheduled for the Virginia Beach officer who died after going into cardiac arrest while on duty on Saturday.  

The Virginia Beach Police Foundation said the visitation will be held for Master Police Officer Kelvin Bailey on Friday at Altmeyer Funeral Home at 5033 Rouse Drive in Virginia Beach from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Rock Church on Kempsville Road in Virginia Beach.

Police said that Officer Bailey was working the in the Centerville Turnpike area when he suddenly went into cardiac arrest. He was transported to the the hospital and passed away shortly after.

Bailey had been serving with Virginia Beach for over 26 years.
