HAMPTON, Va. (AP) — Delmon Williams passed for 371 yards and three touchdowns, rushed for two scores, and Hampton beat Division III Virginia Lynchburg 51-28 on Saturday.

Hampton scored the opening 20 points of the first quarter — highlighted by Lorenzo Thompson’s blocked punt and Jalen Poston’s 10-yard score. Virginia Lynchburg scored the next 14 points, but Hampton had an answer after its next two scores.

William Robinson added 165 yards rushing and a touchdown for Hampton (4-3). Byron Barney caught seven passes for 108 yards and a touchdown, and Marcel Paul scored twice.

Chameron Stevenson was 16-of-22 passing for 153 yards with an interception for Virginia Lynchburg, and had one rushing touchdown. Tomas Newman rushed for 176 yards and two touchdowns of 56 and 75 yards.

Evan Lomax’s 98-yard kick return pulled Virginia Lynchburg to 27-21 in the second quarter.
