10 On Your Side Success: Chesapeake woman’s emotional support dog home safe

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A woman whose mother’s emotional support dog was stolen earlier this week said Friday it is back home and safe.

The woman told 10 On Your Side’s Deja Parker that Lola, the miniature golden doodle, had been located after it was taken Tuesday.

The woman’s mother, who has dementia, had left Lola outside the Chesapeake Square Walmart tied to a pole because she was told she could not enter the store with her dog.

The mother had gone to the store to buy a new dog bed and, according to her daughter, Lola is crucial for her mother’s well-being.

Her mother had been devastated after the dog was taken.
