NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Police in Newport News are looking for a suspect in a recent robbery of a 7-Eleven on Wednesday, police said.

Around 6 a.m., police responded to the report of a robbery in the 700 block of J. Clyde Morris Boulevard. A store employee said that a male entered the business, walked behind the sales counter and “placed his hands on the employee” before stealing several packs of cigarettes and a light.

The suspect is described as around 5’8″ to 5’10” inches in height and 200 lbs. He was last seen wearing a black baseball hat with a light or tan color brim, a camouflage pattern sweatshirt, black pants and black New Balance shoes with white soles.
