PARKSLEY, Va. (WAVY) — A pedestrian was killed and two others were injured in a crash Sunday night on the Eastern Shore.

The crash happened around 8:30 p.m. at Evans Road and Lankford Highway (Route 13). Virginia State Police say the pedestrian, 43-year-old Parksley resident Abel Antonio Morales-Perez, died on impact after attempting to cross the road.

The driver of the Ford Explorer that struck Morales-Perez, 44-year-old Sain Wilson, of Parksley, and his male passenger, Regisma Wilmer, of Florida, both were seriously injured and had to be medevaced after the SUV ran off the roadway and overturned.

No other details are available, but police say the crash is still under investigation.
