Blog: Warm temps continue.

Yesterday’s weather was about as awesome as expected. We had full sunshine for most of the day with high temps in the 70s. There were some 60s near the shore.

High Temps Yesterday

Temps had bounced around quite a bit between the chilly morning and the warm afternoon. Then temps cooled down almost as much last night.

Temperatures Since Yesterday

Today we will have more great weather. After some thin clouds this morning we’ll be mostly sunny into the afternoon. We have high pressure to our south. We’ll have a light west wind.

Regional Weather Map

High temps will make it back into the low-mid 70s.

Forecast Temps

The wind may briefly turn out of the east. That would cool down some locations near the shore like Virginia Beach. It would still be nice, but if it happens then temps there may drop a few degrees. Regardless, we’ll have nice conditions. Highs will be in the 60s over the Outer Banks and Eastern Shore.

Tomorrow we’ll have lots of sunshine again, but the wind will be just a bit stronger, and it will be more persistent out of the southwest. This combo will help to push the high temps into the upper 70s.

Forecast Temps Tomorrow

We’ll be warm again on Friday with high temps pushing up to the upper 70s to near 80.

Forecast Temps Friday

Some locations may hit 80 degrees on Friday. However, we’ll have more moisture on Friday. There will be increasing clouds. Then there may also be a few rain showers late in the day.

Future Trak Friday Afternoon

There will be even more showers Friday night as a cool front sinks into the region. Then the front will drop to our south on Saturday. However, the front looks to stall out on Saturday. Other than some isolated showers in the morning we (should) have a dry day with highs in the 60s.

Temperature Trend

If the front starts pushing back north a little sooner, then there may be a few evening showers. There will be some isolated showers on Sunday as a weak area of low pressure rides east along the front. High temps are aiming for near 70.

There is some much cooler air forecast for next Tuesday. It should be short-lived. High temps may fall to the upper 40s to low 50s for a day. There may even be some snow in the Appalachians. I’ll talk more about that and the St. Patrick’s Day Parade forecast in tomorrow’s weather blog.
