SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Authorities are investigating a bomb threat that was directed at Lakeland High School in Suffolk on Monday morning.
City spokesperson Jennifer Moore says authorities were notified at 10:14 a.m. by school administrators and the building was evacuated and swept by the Suffolk Fire Marshal’s Office and Suffolk Police.
The all clear was given at 11:14 a.m. and activities have resumed as normal, Moore said.
The incident is still under investigation and there will be an enhance police presence at the school for the rest of the day.
