CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — To aid Chesapeake seniors in need, Sheriff Dave Rosado and the Chesapeake Sheriff’s Office are preparing for their annual “Holiday Basket Delivery.”
Sheriff Rosado and CSO deputies will distribute about 100 baskets to Chesapeake seniors needing assistance this holiday season.
To help elderly citizens celebrate the holidays comfortably, the bags will consist of cooked hams, pies, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, green beans, sweet potato yams, Walmart gift cards and more. The Walmart on Hillcrest Parkway generously donated all the non-perishable food items for the baskets.
This year’s event is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 4.
