CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A man is dead after a shooting on Border Road in Chesapeake Saturday afternoon, police said.
At approximately 4:50 p.m., Chesapeake police responded to a report of gunshots in the area on Saturday. Before arriving on scene, an update was received that someone was shot.
Upon arrival in the 3100 block of Border Road, officers found a man, later identified as 31-year-old Taquam Worsley, suffering from life-threatening injuries.
Worsley was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The incident remains an active investigation.
