SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Suffolk is starting its Easter festivities early with the annual Eggstravaganza this Saturday.

Suffolk Parks & Recreation says this event is catered towards kids 10 years old and under. Families can enjoy a day filled with games, pony rides, crafts, music and more.

Kids can decorate bags to stash the eggs they collect throughout the scavenger hunt. Peter Cottontail will arrive to this egg-citing event at 11:15 a.m. and will be available all morning to meet with the children. The staff says this is the perfect time to bring out the camera and create lasting memories.

In addition to the scavenger hunt there will be food and vendor items will be available for purchase in the park.

The Eggstravaganza is free event and open to the public.

Bennett’s Creek Park is located at 3000 Bennett’s Creek Park Road.
