GLOUCESTER COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — The Gloucester Main Library’s renovations are expected to by completed by May 31.

The building will be required to be closed to the public for four days: May 14-15 and May 20-21.

Curbside service will be available during the closure dates. Construction crews will be removing the current circulation desk and constructing the new circulation desk in a different area of the library.

“While we are sorry to have to close to the public for several days, we are eagerly awaiting the changes that this closure will allow to take place,” said Diane Rebertus, Director of Library Services. “This is the last leg of our renovations, and we cannot wait for our patrons to return to a fresh, renovated space.”

A “Renovation Celebration” is scheduled to officially welcome the public to the renovated facility
on Saturday, June 1 at 9:30 a.m. The Point Branch of the library will remain open.
