PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – Chick-fil-A locations throughout Hampton Roads will be participating in a cookie fundraiser this week in order to help local food banks.

The fundraising event will last from Nov. 18 through Nov. 23, and for every chocolate chunk cookie sold, participating Chick-fil-A locations will donate a portion of their proceeds to the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank and the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore.

“We are proud to support these two local food banks and the families they help serve,” Owner-Operator of Parkway Plaza and Salem Crossing Chick-fil-A Brian Burnette said. “This fundraiser is a chance for us to reach those in need this holiday season. We hope our community will join us and enjoy some Chocolate Chunk Cookies.”

Throughout the past two years, Hampton Roads Chick-fil-A locations have raised $30,000 to go towards local food banks.
