HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) – Hampton police say that the remains found on Woodland Rd. are confirmed to be animal remains, according to the medical examiner.
According to a tweet from the Hampton Police Department, police were investigating a call for remains located in the 300 block of Woodland Road.
Police tell 10 On Your Side that the call came in around 1:36 p.m. from an individual working on the property.
Officers responded to the location and observed unknown bones inside a blanket along the woodline.
The Norfolk Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene and confirmed that the located remains were non-human and belonged to an animal.
