HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — A man was shot Thursday afternoon on Lincoln Street in Hampton.
Police say officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Lincoln Street, near Condor Street, after getting a gunshots fired and couldn’t locate the victim. However, they got a call at 2:44 p.m. that there was a gunshot victim at Sentara Careplex.
Officers spoke with the victim, who had a single, non life-threatening wound. He told them he was sitting in car on Lincoln Street when he was approached by three suspects. After words were exchanged, one of the suspects opened fire and shot the victim once.
Police are still looking into the motive and circumstances of the incident, and don’t have descriptions of the suspects at this time.
