HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — The Hampton Police Division is investigating a vehicle crash that left a man dead.

On Wednesday, May 8 just after 3 p.m., officers responded to a vehicle crash on N. Mallory Street and found a man suffering from life-threatening injuries.

An investigation revealed the driver struck a box truck turning left off of Berkley Street into the south bound lanes of North Mallory Street.

Members of the Hampton Division of Fire and Rescue arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital.

Police said 27-year-old Niree Robinson of Hampton died from his injuries on Friday, May 10.

This accident remains under investigation by members of the Hampton Police Accident Reconstruction Team.
