HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — A man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing on West Queen Street that left a 23-year-old man with life-threatening injuries.
Police said they were on the scene of the incident in the 1300 block of West Queen Street after getting the call around 9:45 p.m. for a stabbing.
When officers arrived, they found the man suffering from multiple life-threatening injuries, police said, and officers treated the man until medics arrived. He was taken to a local hospital.
Police said that a preliminary investigation revealed that both the suspect and the victim were outside at the time of the incident.
After an investigation, Hampton police arrested 33-year-old Tony Richardson Jr in connection with the incident.

A Hampton man was arrested earlier this month in connection to a May 31 maiming in the 1400 block of Old Buckroe Road.
