HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) – Three people were shot Monday night off of Threechopt Road in Hampton. One of the victims has life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Hampton Police said the report of a shooting in the 4800 block of Threechopt Road came in at 7:51 p.m., and while officers were on the way, they found out there was a man suffering a gunshot wound who had just arrived at the Wawa in the 5200 block of West Mercury Boulevard. That man was taken to a local hospital by members of the Hampton Division of Fire and Rescue with life-threatening injuries.
Public Safety Communications then got another call for two walk-in gunshot victims – a man and woman – who had arrived at a local hospital. They are being treated for non life-threatening injuries, police said.
A preliminary investigation indicates that the victims were at a residence in the 4800 block of Threechopt Road when an altercation took place and the suspect shot toward the three victims, with all of them being struck by bullets. Police said the incident appears to be domestic-related, and their investigation is ongoing.
On Tuesday, police named a suspect in the investigation. They are searching for 18-year-old Reginald Lee Littlejohn in connection with the shooting, on three counts of maiming, one count of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and one count contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Littlejohn is considered armed and dangerous.
