HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — The Virginia Peninsula Foodbank announced on Sunday that they have appointed a new CEO.

Robert Latvis Jr. will be succeeding the previous Foodbank’s CEO Karen Joyner after she announced her plans for retirement. Joyner served in he position for 11 years. His last position he served a CEO of the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and Eastern Shore.

“Bob’s strategic drive and his long, distinguished career in both nonprofit and for-profit executive management roles makes him the perfect choice to lead Virginia Peninsula Foodbank into the next phase of our mission,” said Erik Mills, VPFB Board President.
