CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A house caught fire Monday morning in the Deep Creek area of Chesapeake.

It broke out just after 10 a.m. in the 3000 block of Troy Lane, near Deep Creek High School, firefighters say. The resident reported possible smoke from the attic, and firefighters found light smoke coming from the roof line when they responded six minutes later.

The fire was marked out at 10:45 a.m. and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
