The first arriving companies found heavy fire in the rear of the house involving the deck and attic of the attached garage. Crews were challenged due to an underground propane tank next to the house that was venting. The fire was brought under control within one hour and the main fire was stopped before getting into the main living space of the house.

One firefighter was evaluated at the scene, however they did not require transport for further medical evaluation. The cause was deemed accidental and started around the grill located on the deck. No residents were injured.

The property turned over to the owners around 9 p.m.
