PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Two different types of job fairs are coming up this Saturday, March 16, but both involving helping lives in Hampton and James City County.

The Hampton Sheriff’s Office is holding a Recruitment to Hire Career Fair. Registration will be from 8-9 a.m. at the Circuit Court Building in Hampton.

The Parks & Recreation team are also hosting a fair on Saturday, March 16, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the James City County Recreation Center. They also have part-time and on call positions available.

Job openings include: lifeguards, recreation leaders, assistant recreation supervisors, therapeutic recreation leaders, class instructors, park attendants and fitness attendants to work outdoors in our parks and indoors at our recreation centers.

All Applicants must:
· Be at least 16 years old at the time of hire. If an applicant is under age 18, parental consent is required to complete the post offer checks, if selected for a position.
· Successfully complete a drug test and criminal history/sex offender check (other post offer checks may be required depending on position offered.)
· Bring a picture ID
· Bring copies of certification (if applicable)
