COROLLA, N.C. (WAVY) — A home caught fire after being struck by lightning on the Outer Banks.

Corolla Fire & Rescue says it happened at a rental home early Monday morning at 907 Corolla Drive.

Firefighters, including those from Duck, Kitty Hawk and Southern Shores, were able to save the home and limit damage. Photos from the scene showed crews using a ladder truck to help extinguish the flames.

No injuries were reported and the 10 renters were able to move to another house.
