YORK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — A Hampton man was arrested after deputies say he fired three shots into an unoccupied vehicle in York County back in February.

The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday that 24-year-old Dwayne Tyrone Hudson II was arrested on Wednesday and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, reckless handling of a firearm and intentionally damaging property. The first is a felony charge.

Deputies say the shooting happened around 4:40 a.m. on February 14 in the 200 Block of Saint Clair Circle, off Big Bethel Road.

Deputies found three bullet holes in the windshield and notified the car’s owner. The case was turned over to an investigator, who later obtained warrants.

So far the sheriff’s office hasn’t released additional details in the case, but said this is still an active investigation.

Hudson was taken to the Hampton City Jail.
