SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Two men are in the hospital after their car crashed into a power pole Monday night on Nansemond Parkway.

Suffolk spokeswoman Diana Klink says one of the victims was airlifted and the other was taken by ground ambulance, though both of their injuries are considered not life-threatening.

It happened around 10:30 p.m. in the 1800 block of Nansemond Parkway. Klink says the victims’ vehicle landed in someone’s front yard after striking the pole.

The cause of the crash is under investigation and the area around the crash site was closed as of midnight.
