NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A woman shot in Norfolk on March 13 died several days later, police confirmed.

Detectives were called to the scene of a shooting in the 1100 block of East Princess Anne Road around 9:15 p.m. and arrived to find a man and a woman suffering from life-threatening injuries.

Both were taken to the hospital. On March 18 the woman, identified by police as 25-year-old Tashonta Hillard, died from her injuries. The 26-year-old man is expected to recover.

Norfolk Police are currently investigating the now deadly shooting.
