NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Police say a single-vehicle crash in Norfolk involving a motorcycle closed traffic on Hampton Boulevard for several hours Saturday.
According to reports, the call for the accident came around 12:15 a.m. Saturday in the 6000 block of Hampton Boulevard.
Officials say “serious injuries” were reported during the incident.
Norfolk officials say a 24-year-old was found at the scene suffering from life-threatening injuries.
The man was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital and is currently listed in critical condition, authorities said Monday afternoon.
Officials say speed appears to be a factor in the crash.
The accident led to a partial road closure on Hampton Boulevard near Larchmont for several hours.
