NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – The Slover Library Foundation is hosting an opportunity for the community to hear from Norfolk’s Chief of Police, Mark Talbot.

Organizers say the goal of this community coffee hour is to “strengthen community ties, promote open dialogue, and enhance collaboration between the downtown community and law enforcement.”
Attendees will learn about the police department’s latest initiatives and community-focused programs. There will be an opportunity for residents to ask questions and get to meet with other members of the community.
The free event will offer breakfast and beverages. It is expected to wrap up at 9:15 a.m.
