NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Firefighters were on the scene of a fire early Tuesday morning in Norfolk.

According to dispatch, the call for the fire came in around 2:45 a.m. in the 2300 block of Courtney Ave. When crews arrived on the scene they found heave smoke and fire coming from a vacant home.

Crew did have to call in additional resources to combat the fire, but the fire was marked under control at 3:43 a.m.

Officials say there were no injuries reported to firefighters.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
