NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – The Norfolk Botanical Garden (NBG) is ready for fun all summer long!
It kicks off with a new exhibit: Funky Fungi: Nature’s Curious Creations. This sensational summer exhibit is all about the magical realm of mushrooms and their eco-awesome importance. Guests of all ages will find themselves immersed in a land of 42 larger-than-life mushroom sculptures.
Journey through NBG’s Enchanted Forest and explore the Funky Fungi exhibit now through September.
Summer hours are back in full swing, now through October. Enjoy the Garden from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. Embark on a guided tram tour through the Garden, have a picnic with friends or ride your bike from 4-7 p.m.
The World of Wonders Children’s Garden is the place to be this season. Splash pads are on daily from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Opening Father’s Day Weekend, surround yourself with native butterflies at the Butterfly House.
Coming later this summer, the Butterfly and VA Honeybee festivals are back, along with a new Mushroom festival that will complement the Funky Fungi summer exhibits.
