NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Police are investigating a shooting that left one man injured in Norfolk Wednesday morning.

According to police, the report of a shooting came in around 1:50 a.m. in the 400 block of East 20th Street, not far from Church Street.

When officers arrived on scene, they located a 47-year-old man suffering from a non life-threathening gunshot wound. He was sent to a local hospital for treatment.

Police say the investigation revealed the man was actually shot about an hour earlier, in the 800 block of B Avenue.

No other information has been released at this time.
