NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A man has died following a hit-and-run in Norfolk early Friday morning.
Norfolk police say officers were called around 3:45 a.m. for the hit-and-run in the 1500 block of Tidewater Drive, between Taggart and Billings streets. When police arrived on the scene, they determined that a man was hit by a car.
The preliminary investigation revealed the car fled the scene before police arrived.
Police have identified the victim as Nathaniel Walton Jr., of Norfolk. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
