NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Police are investigating a shooting that injured a man in Norfolk early Friday morning.

According to police dispatch, the call for the shooting came in just after 3:30 a.m. Friday in the 6100 block of Chesapeake Boulevard.

When they got to the scene, officers found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition.

Police say they believe the shooting initially took place in the 6200 block of Alexander Street.
