NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — 21-year-old Trent O’Neal White Jr. was sentenced on Friday to serve four years and eight months in prison for the aggravated sexual battery of a child after he was found guilty earlier this year of molesting a younger relative.

In 2023, the victim reported White’s abuse to a family member and to a forensic interviewer. This resulted in Norfolk Police investigators securing charges against White for several sex offenses, including two counts of aggravated sexual battery of a child under the age of 13. Some charges were dismissed in Norfolk Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court.

On Sept. 10, White was found guilty of two charges of aggravated sexual battery after requesting to be tried by a judge.

On Friday, White was sentenced to serve four years and eight months in prison and suspended another five years and four months on several conditions including that White complete a psychosexual evaluation, sex offender treatment, and a period of uniform good behavior and supervised probation following his release.
