NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Norfolk Parks & Recreation’s seasonal program, The Norfolk Nighthawks, returned Friday.
The program said they are committed to providing a safe and secure environment for Norfolk adult residents during the summer months.
In addition to the scheduled games, attendees can expect open rec gym activities, musical entertainment provided by a DJ and complimentary refreshments.
Norview Community Center will also offer dance classes in vogue, hip hop and line dancing, all within a safe and supervised setting.
The six-week program is scheduled for Friday and Saturday nights, 9 p.m. to midnight, at Huntersville Community Center (830 Goff Street), Lambert’s Point Community Center (1251 W. 42nd Street) and Norview Community Center (6380 Sewells Point Rd.)
The championship series event is scheduled on Aug. 17 at Fairlawn Recreation Center (1014 Kempsville Rd.), from 9 p.m. to midnight.
All events are free and open to the public. Program partners include Norfolk Police Department and the Norfolk Sheriff’s Office.
