NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The Norfolk Sheriff’s Office is hosting a book drive to update the book offerings in the Norfolk City Jail library.

Inmates will be able to check out the books while they are incarcerated. New and gently used paperback books can be dropped off in the bin near the front entrance of Norfolk City Hall.

Books can also be dropped off at the bin in the lobby of the Norfolk Sheriff’s Office Administration Building, 140 East Street.

All books must be paperbacks and cannot contain nudity or photos with undergarments showing. Books with drawings or pictures of weapons are also not allowed.

The book drive began Monday, Jan. 16 and will continue until Friday, Feb. 16.
