NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Norfolk’s inaugural ReUse Festival is happening in November.
Born out of a partnership between Keep Norfolk Beautiful and the Norfolk Public Library, the festival brings together environmental organizations, local artists and makers to showcase innovative ways to repurpose materials and reduce waste.
Those in attendance will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on workshops, view upcycled art and explore a variety of ways to cut down on waste, conserve resources and create something new and meaningful.
Additionally, the festival will feature composting, jewelry making and repair, basic repair hand sewing, plastic bag basket weaving, metal flower-making and more.
The event takes place Saturday, Nov. 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mary D. Pretlow Anchor Branch Library.
