NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Three men were shot in separate but related incidents Tuesday in Norfolk, police said.

According to officials, around 6:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Rugby Street for reports of a gunshot victim.

Officers arrived to the scene and found a man, later identified as 20-year-old William T. Robinson, suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was transferred to a local hospital, where he later died on July 3.

Two other men arrived at the hospital with serious gunshot wounds around 6:35 p.m.

Detectives have determined that the two incidents are related, according to police, who said the incident involving the man with life-threatening injuries happened around 6:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of Rugby Street.
