NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Norfolk Fire-Rescue responded to a residential fire on Lafayette Boulevard on Friday afternoon, officials said.

Crews were dispatched around 2:40 p.m. and arrived to find smoke and fire coming from a second-floor window. Crews began an offensive attack, and the fire was under control just before 3 p.m.

No injuries were reported, but three adults are displaced and being assisted by Red Cross. The cause is under investigation.
