NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — A 28-year-old woman is facing a long list of charges after an early morning police pursuit that spanned several cities.

The pursuit began Thursday around 3:15 a.m. near Warwick Boulevard in Newport News and ended in Norfolk near Church Street at Brambleton Avenue and Virginia Beach Boulevard.

Newport News police say the driver, identified as 28-year-old Norfolk resident Loni Michelle Baker, was subsequently arrested.

Baker is facing multiple charges, including fraudulent alteration of license plates, displaying fictitious plates, DWI first offense, unauthorized distribution of paraphernalia, eluding law enforcement, driving without a license, two traffic signal violations, three counts of possession of a Scheduled I or II drugs. She was also served two outstanding warrants out of Hampton, on possession of drugs charges.
